Large extension home including new living area, kitchen, surrounding deck and re-roof.
- Client: Dave Lenssen
- Project Type: Building Renovation
About this Project
This renovation consisted of a back extension to the home, to accomodate a new kitchen and living area. The home, originally built in the 1930’s, was renovated to match the existing home with fibrous plaster scotia modes and ceiling roses, with a colonial style kitchen with granite benches. We have also re-roofed the entire house, surrounded with hardwood decks and the project isn’t finished yet…
In more detail:
Dave designed his own extension and put it through council.
We extended out the back of the house with a new kitchen and living.
Redesigned existing to use space better. The original house was built in the 1930’s we managed to match the extension into the existing with the same fibrous plaster scotia modes and ceiling roses.
The Kitchen was designed in keeping, colonial style with granite benches.
The brickwork was matched to the existing with some recycled brick and two slightly different new bricks to be randomly mixed together, colour of motor matched also.
We used timber sarking for the soffits to match existing.
We reroofed the entire house and put hardwood decks around.
This is an on going project.
